Frequently asked questions
I offer two ways to be evaluated. First is via telehealth which involves a video call between the patient and myself to address acute, minor medical issues. The second is an in person evaluation done in the comfort of your own home. No waiting room, no driving, no time limits.
Of course, because this is a telehealth and mobile, at home service I cannot offer some advanced diagnostics such as labs or imaging (at this time!).
Yes! As a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician I am trained to evaluate and treat children with basic, urgent, and emergent conditions.
While my training and ER practice involves ALL ages (down to the first minutes of life!), for this practice I will likely refer newborns (those aged less than 3 months old) for in person evaluations at an ER or advanced Urgent Care due to the fragility of their medical care. On a case by case basis I may see newborns for basic newborn issues and questions.
I am board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. I did my undergraduate education at UCSB (go Gauchos) and medical school through the military at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. My specialty training in Emergency Medicine was completed at Naval Medical Center San Diego. I am licensed in the state of California by the Board of Medicine.
